Can my mobile phone play an animation?
Almost every Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) enabled mobile device has the capability to play a Veepers Message; however, some older handsets cannot play the animations. For older devices which do not support MMS delivery of rich-media, a web URL will be sent to the device via SMS. This URL will allows the custom animation to be viewed on the www.getveepers.com website for 30 days.
back
Can I forward Veepers animations to other people?
If your phone is Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) enabled, you may forward files on your mobile phone to others by sending a multimedia message with the file as an attachment. If you have questions on how to compose an MMS message from your mobile phone, consult the user guide that came with your wireless device.

Are other text-to-speech voices available?
Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology has come a long way in the past few years and we source voice engines from the best vendors in the industry. We personally select voices for quality and provide what we feel is the best-in-breed voice synthesis services. As a result, we limit the range of voices offered in an effort to maintain the highest quality. We continually evaluate new TTS engines so feel free to submit requests for additional voices and languages in our feedback section.

Can I animate anything other than the head?
The Pulse Mobile Veepers technology is based on a comprehensive 3D modeling and animation platform. As a result, we can build models that represent nearly anything imaginable; however, the GetVeepers.com service is specifically designed for the animation of human faces in order to create the best 3D model possible. As always, we welcome feedback on other types of content and animation that you think would be fun and entertaining. We’re constantly updating the service, so feel free to get involved in the evolution of www.getveepers.com!

Can I download the animation file to my PC?
We do not currently offer this feature but do have plans to support user downloads in the future. We do allow you to visit our website to view your animation, and you are welcome to distribute the URL link to your media creation. We currently store animations for 30 days, so come back often to check out your animation.

How do I make my own Veeper?
First, find a .jpg or .png image that you want to animate. Go to the Make Veepers section and upload your image. Once your image has been uploaded, you may wish to modify the mouth or eye placement. You may do so by clicking the "Move eyes or mouth" button under the Veeper.
back
Are there any limits to image file formats or file size for upload?
We currently support .jpg or .png image file formats. This file should be less than 1MB in size. If your image is larger than 1MB, use image processing software such as Photoshop to reduce the resolution and file size. Upload times may vary depending on connection speed. Some images may not be suitable for character creation.

What types of images make the best Veepers?
Though nearly any image can be made into a Veeper, there are some simple guidelines that will result in the highest quality output:
a. Portrait of a face work best.
b. The facial expression should be neutral with a closed mouth (smiling images do not make as good Veepers).
c. The face should take up at least 2/3 of the image area. The subject should be framed leaving plenty of room above and around the head.
d. The background should be contrasted with the face (i.e. all white background). A plain background may look better than complex backgrounds.
e. Image file size must be less than 1 MB. Lower resolution photos (less than 800x600) may result in blurry characters.

Some images automatically become Veepers, while others require that I tell the software the location of the eyes and mouth. Why?
The Make Veepers feature incorporates automatic facial detection software to identify key facial landmarks such as the eyes and mouth, in order to effectively map the image on the 3D model. Some images may not have a face that is recognizable to the software, such as animals or cartoons. For this reason we provide you with a manual Flash Authoring Interface (FAI) in order to more accurately place the facial landmarks before processing the Veeper. This is a very simple process and only takes a few seconds. In order to use this interface you will need to have Flash version 8. If for some reason you do not have this version, you may download it at http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer.

What is Veepers Wallpaper?
Veepers Wallpaper is a mobile wallpaper personalization service that allows anyone to create customized images for use with a standard wireless handset. A user of the service can simply select an image template from one of the content categories provided, enter a custom string of text, and view the customized image.
back
Can I use my own images with Veepers Wallpaper?
This is not currently supported. We are evaluating this capability for a future release.
back
Why does Veepers Wallpaper make my text capitalized?
To make it easier for you to create a great looking image we automatically capitalize your text for certain templates.
back
Why is my text squashed?
We do our best to automatically fit all of the text you enter into your selected image. If you enter a long string of text this may result in the text being squashed or cropped. Try entering fewer characters, or add spaces between words or letters for a better effect.
back
Why is some of my text missing?
To make the nicest looking Veepers wallpapers, we have used many different fonts. Some fonts do not handle special diacritic characters such as "á, ç, é, ê, ñ, ö, ß, ü" or symbols such as "¡, ¿, @, *, &" and others. While some fonts will automatically map diacritic characters to their base letter, others may show up as blank, or as a box. Try entering text again using standard English character sets without special symbols. You may also try different Veepers wallpapers as some font sets may support these characters.
back
What mobile phones are supported by Veepers Wallpaper?
Veepers Wallpapers are exported in all common image formats and support all modern, color wireless MMS enabled handsets. When possible, Veepers Wallpaper service will automatically detect the device profile and format your custom image to fit the display of your handset.
back
Why does my wallpaper look different on my mobile phone than it did on the website?
Each mobile phone deals with displaying images in different ways. Some wireless handsets or carriers may compress the image, or warp it in other ways to fit the memory and display capabilities of the device or network. Sometimes the way your phone displays the image will be slightly different than the preview available from the Website.
